Overview

DayBloom is a daily activity recommendation app for parents and caregivers of young children. We take your privacy and your child's privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Information We Collect

Account information

Email address and password — if you sign up with email
Apple ID — if you sign in with Apple (we receive only a unique identifier and, optionally, your name; we never receive your Apple password)

Child profile

Child's name — used to personalise the app experience
Date of birth — used to assign age-appropriate activities and track developmental milestones

Activity data

Activity completions — which activities were done on which dates
Mood ratings (1–5) — how your child responded to each activity
Pace feedback — whether activities felt too easy, just right, or too challenging
Optional notes — free-text observations you choose to add

Technical data

Device type and OS version — collected automatically for crash reporting
We do not collect precise location data, contacts, camera roll, or any other sensitive device data

We do not use your data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it with anyone except as described below.

Data Storage and Security

All data is stored securely on Supabase (supabase.com), a managed database platform with encryption at rest and in transit. Supabase infrastructure is hosted in the United States. Row-level security ensures that each user can only access their own data.

We do not integrate with advertising networks, analytics platforms, or social media SDKs.

Children's Privacy

DayBloom stores a child's first name and date of birth solely to personalise activity recommendations. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children — the app is used by parents and caregivers on behalf of their children. Child data is never shared with third parties.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account (via Profile → Delete account & all data), all data — including your child's profile, activity history, and account credentials — is permanently deleted immediately. This cannot be undone.

Your Rights

Access — all activity data is visible within the app
Correct — edit your child's name and age in Profile
Delete — use the in-app delete account option, or email us

Safety Disclaimer

DayBloom provides activity ideas for educational and developmental purposes only. The caregiver is solely responsible for the health and safety of their child during all activities. DayBloom is not liable for any injury, harm, or adverse outcome arising from the use of suggested activities.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or email. Continued use of DayBloom after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
